Glitch: “Made You Look (Remix)” by Iowno

I always liked the original version of this track, so when Iowno sent me the remix I knew I had to check it out real quick. I was surprised at how he incorporated the samples, and I definitely enjoyed it, it’s a sick glitch take on a solid hip-hop song. Iowno was also nice enough to hook us up with the free DL, so show some love by checking out his SoundCloud & enjoy this track!

Electronic: “Deep Winter” by Dibiase

Super chill glitch track, reminds me of a Flying Lotus or Afta-1 style sound, definitely really mellow and enjoyable. Off of the ‘Comfort Zone’ EP, which you will find below for full download, so enjoy!

Electronic: “Wishbone (feat. Swan)” by R/D

Nice. You all know I’m an R/D junkie, from the R/D Radiohead remix to the Forward Slash Mixtape, the dude brings a great sound that I always enjoy. This is his second track with Swan off of the ‘Bay Crush’ EP (or is it an album?). Can’t wait for the release, for now, enjoy this track and the free DL via R/D’s website.

Glitch: “Black Aura” by The Glitch Mob

Woah, big unreleased track by The Glitch Mob featuring sick lyrics by Theophilius London. Just recently featured their Red Dress remix because I was in a Glitch Mob mood, and apparently they read my mind and decided to drop an unreleased track on us. Update: Download is now freely available, respect to The Glitch Mob!

Electronic: “Nocturnal” by Big Gigantic

Definitely excited to post this track, I look forward to anything by Big G. As you might have recalled from my recent interview with Big Gigantic, Dom says he thinks that the sax is what allowed people to remember the group so well in the ever growing electronic genre. This track combines some upbeat synth but is definitely generous on the sax, although more as an accompanying sound this time. Turn it up, enjoy, and grab the download provided by Big G!

Electronic: “Quantam Leap” by Slugabed

Posted this up for the music and because I like when artists pursue an experience outside of just the sound, Slugabed composed this trippy video to be paired with his future electronic sound. Honestly, this shit gets pretty weird, so prepare yourself, ha! Other than the total strangeness, it’s a cool video accompaniment to a new track, enjoy.

Electronic: “Stairway To Heaven (Remix)” by Gramatik

Led Zeppelin

One of the few remixes to do this track justice, which is saying something. Gramatik always pushes the envelope on originality, and he always picks interesting tracks to tackle in his remixes and mashups. Every since I listened to his “Everything” remix with Murs and James Blunt, I’ve been keeping my eye out for other remixes, so turn this one up and enjoy.

Glitch: “Nineteen Seventy Six” by R/D

Definitely one of my favorite tracks off of “Liquid Heart Keeper” album, you just don’t catch a sound like R/D’s very often. I have some pretty exciting news for R/D fans, he’s got another album coming out in December, and yours truly will be doing a special premiere with an exclusive interview with R/D! So if you enjoyed the Michal Menert interview or the Big Gigantic interview, be sure to look out for that.

Follow Friday: Making Things Right

Graffiti Hearts

Well, I definitely dropped the ball on this one…

I came up with the idea of a “Follow Friday” to post a bunch of great submissions, the first one went off well, and then…

I forgot to post it for two straight weeks.

Goddamn slacking.

Time to make right on the original promise, so here’s an early version of Follow Friday.

I love posting these because I get to showcase indie and really experimental tracks, these types of posts will definitely contain a lot of undiscovered goodness and the submissions I’ve been digging lately, so enjoy and please support these independent artists with a ‘like’ or tweet of this post!

1.) “Addiction (Remix)” by Scott Kane | Download

2.) “The Less I Know” by XYZR KX | Download

3.) “Something Out Of Nothing” by Break Nasty | Download

4.) “Metamorphosis” by Agent Whiskers | Download

5.) “Fires” by Box Of Luca

6.) “Technologic (Remix)” by Go Go Bizkitt | Download

7.) “Summer In The Fall” by Stef Is Dope | Download

Love all of these tracks!

Big ups to the final track, perfectly timed and seriously one of the sickest independent hip-hop tracks I’ve heard in quite a while.

If you enjoyed any of these, please support the independent artists featured here by sharing this post! Thanks for listening!
