Beats Antique makes some damn original and beautiful music, and this track is one of their most ambitious to date in my opinion. It strays away from the “belly dancing” vibe that many of their albums have, but still has a very memorable and even “exotic” (poor word choice I know) sound. I guess what I’m really trying to say is that I love Beats Antique.

You know I have no qualms with featuring an old track, and I’ll definitely make an exception for Flying Lotus, who I need to feature on this site way more (fixing that soon). Love the vibe this track gives off, proves that mellow electronic music can be done so well, and that it’s not a genre restricted to dance at all. Big shoutout to Flying Lotus for this an many other tracks, too much talent.

Woah, this whole EP goes heavy, love the tracks Kap Slap picked to mix in with this. The second track is probably my favorite, make sure you check that one out. Also offered up for free (due to the numerous samples), this is definitely a big party mix. Turn the bass up and enjoy!
The signature track off of the new “Malbec” album by Ben Samples (buy it on Beatport). I’ve featured the first release, “Shadows Of Love”, and now here is a more original sampling of Ben’s talents (the other was a remix of a classic song). Love the glitchy sound Ben gives to this one, his productions are always catchy and memorable, and this one is no different in my opinion.

Another great track with that signature warm synth R/D sound. Kind of strange in that this track appears to be a mashup of an entire EP called “Cricket” (also by R/D), but it appears to have been remixed into a single song. Creative to say the least, but R/D is already known for putting out some uniquely awesome creations such as his “Stave The Ego, Feed The Sould Remix” and his “Give Up The Ghost Remix” as well. Overall a unique premise for a track and a good outcome.

Some really soulful stuff by Afta-1 off of his album “Aftathoughts Vol. 1”, which in all is a quality album from first track to last. Grainy sound combined with the drums and mellow vibe of the song makes it a head nodding track that is hard to get away from: I’ve had it stuck in my head for a few days and you probably will too. Ahhh… electronic musician names. Ridiculous names aside, this is actually a pretty solid and really upbeat track. I guess you can’t expect a song to be that serious with that artist name… Fun vibe from this one, definitely had to let you check it out.

Paper Diamond really came out with a sick mix of this song in my opinion, I like where it goes in that it feels true to the original while still has traces of Paper Diamond’s style. Overall a really original and excellent tracks gets a quality remix from a guy with a unique sound, what’s not to like?

Really fun track that was uploaded by MadDecent (their SoundCloud), definitely a good club track, and I don’t say that often. MadDecent has been heading towards a more house & moombahton sound lately if you ask me (especially moombahton), I can’t say I approve of it all but I definitely approve of this. Enjoy.
