Electronic: “I Can Still Hear You” by SuperVision

Now, I’ve actually already talked about SuperVision’s first release on Pretty Light Music entitled “Telescopic”, but I love this track so much I needed to see it shared. Simply too much soul going on in this song, and the electro pick up that comes in later in the song is just perfectly integrated. One of the best tracks on an outstanding album, what more can you say. Enjoy!

Electronic: Unreleased Tracks by Michal Menert

Michal Menert

Today I have some awesome unreleased tracks by Michal Menert, not currently available on any album.

Check them out and download, hard to believe but all of these amazing songs are up for free!

First up is the track “Full Time Hustle”, gotta love the soul coming out of this track, excellent stuff!

Download it

———-

Next up is “It’s All For You”, which grew on me big time, Menert’s music has this aspect about it that favors it after multiple listens. That’s how you know you are putting out quality music.

Download it

———-

One of my favorites, “Lemme Tell You Now”, which I’ve featured individually on this blog before.

Download it

———-

Next track is “Neon Gray” which is one of Menert’s most unique releases IMO.

Download it

———-

Last is “Waking” (unmixed demo version) which is an interesting track, didn’t expect a lot of what I heard in this one.

Download it

Big shout out to Michal Menert for creating all of this amazing music and for his awesome interview with me posted earlier today!

Show Menert some love with a share of this post. Thanks for listening!

Electronic: “Shadows Of Love” by Ben Samples

Big, BIG track today by Ben Samples, promoting his new album Malbec (which is out the 8th, already live on SoundCloud). What can I say about this track? It takes a classic song (I love the original), mixes in some fine production, and is an overall smash. Better yet, it’s free! Definitely don’t let this one pass you by, and make sure to show Samples a little love by sharing this new track and his new album.

Follow Friday: A New Way Of Doing Things

Graffiti Hearts

So, to put it bluntly, I get a lot of great submissions.

Here’s my problem though: tons of bigger artists also release music constantly, and people expect me to post those tracks.

I also don’t want to post like 20 posts a day: that would get really annoying for email subscribers, and that would make each post only get a few views each.

I think I found a decent solution to this; from now on, on Fridays, I’m going to be posting a bunch of submissions at once.

This way, we all win: I can post about awesome submissions, submissions get featured more often, and the site gets a new feature to look forward to on each Friday.

So enough talk, here’s the music that I really enjoyed this week! (If you don’t see your track featured, don’t worry, I wanted to keep this first post to 7 and I most likely haven’t looked at yours yet, my inbox can be a tough beast to tame sometimes!).

1.) “Carvinal EP” by Jonny Litten

2.) Go Go Bizkitt! Feat: Shawn Elliot – Flunk (Hey Hey)

3.) Skrillex and Kaskade – Lick it (3LAU Monstamash Disco Edit)

4.) Tiesto – Maximal Crazy (Derek Sabiston REMIX)

5.) “Love Machine” by NIM

6.) “At Night” by Heffay

7.) “Ashes” by Chris Hurst

Thanks for checking these out, hope you enjoy them!

If you want to support some independent artists, please share these tracks or this post if you enjoyed it! Thanks for listening!

Electronic: “Rise And Shine” by Big Gigantic

Wow, what to say about this track… simply another banger. I’ve featured both full albums by Big G and Dom’s Black And Yellow Remix, and I’m glad to see the sax is back in full effect in this track. Still contains the trend towards a more “womp” dubstep sound if you get my meaning, but with a much heavier emphasis on the sax, perhaps Dom trying to please both sides of his growing fanbase? Either way, I approve.

Electronic: RE:Generation Tracks (From The Documentary)

The RE:GENERATION series is a set of tracks from an upcoming documentary that follows electronic artists as they produce tracks in a distinct classic style.

From the project itself:

Presented by Hyundai Veloster, RE:GENERATION is a documentary film that follows DJ Premier, Pretty Lights, The Crystal Method, Mark Ronson, and Skrillex as they remix, recreate and re-imagine five traditional styles of music. Learn more at youtube.com/veloster and regenerationmusicproject.com.

Sounds like some interesting stuff, the videos for each song are below.

Somebody (not me) has uploaded the tracks on SoundCloud and a variety of places, but I have no idea where one would go to get the tracks normally.

You can also listen to them below.

1.) DJ Premier feat. Nas – “Regeneration”

2.) Pretty Lights – “Wayfaring Stranger”

3.) Skrillex – “Breakn’ A Sweat”

4.) Mark Ronson – “A La Modeliste”

5.) The Crystal Method – “I’m Not Leaving”

Electronic: “Earthquakey People (Remix)” by Dillon Francis

Day 305 - Hieroglyphics (305/365)

Fun fact: that picture is actually a picture of a sewing machine, not a dial for some speakers. Now you know… Anyway, this new track by Dillon Francis is in his usually crazy dance + 8-bit style, love the way he reworked the vocals and overall the track is really fun and one of those songs that you will get stuck in your head after a few listens. Long live Dillon Francis. Only flaw with this track is no download yet…

Electronic: “The Rise Of Moombahton” presented by Pickster

Rise Of Moombahton

This is actually not a single release by one artist but rather a BIG 19 track mixtape of Moombahton featuring a variety of artists who produce in the genre. Saying that, you are either going to fall in love with this mix if you are already a Moombahton fan, and if you aren’t (or you have no idea what it is) you are able to check out a large sampling of Moombahton tracks. I’ve already featured a few other Moombahton songs on the blog, so check this out and enjoy!

Electronic: “September 2011 Mix” by MiMOSA

Frothy Mimosa

This is just a great chill remix by MiMOSA, really picks up around the middle (if you’re not enjoying the beginning) and doesn’t let go from there. Probably one of my favorites when it comes to pure “mixes” released recently, key components being the ability to just let it play and zone out, and the variety that is involved. Enjoy!

Electronic: “Phantom” by Samples

Phantom of Opera mask B&W

Pretty up beat track by Ben Samples, whom I first came across with his ‘Black And Yellow remix’ with Big Gigantic. This tune definitely gives off a lot of energy and a cool vibe, and has reaffirmed my belief that I need to keep a look out for Samples, as he puts out some quality stuff, and offers some great tracks like this up for free!
